Dave’s life has been spent in healthcare from Day One. Following the paper he wrote in Grade 4 where he stated that he wanted to be a research scientist he has pursued a career helping patients, starting with hands on experience working in the hospital as a nuclear medicine and MRI technologist. Thinking it would be cool to travel and carry a cell phone he jumped to the dark side and joined a small healthcare company as their first clinical applications trainer and has progressed through a number of roles. Product Manager, Clinical Specialist, Director of Marketing, VP of Sales & Marketing, CTO and Head of Product, Government, Marketing and Corporate Communications to name but a few titles. But one constant in all this is healthcare. Having moved to the U.S. from Canada to “enjoy” the Trump revolution he now plies his trade as the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications and Informatics Marketing at Hitachi Healthcare Americas where they attend 177 trade shows each year across 4 business units.

Samantha Hoye is Vice President of Marketing of US Pharmaceutical Distribution at Cardinal Health. She leads all aspects of the marketing strategy, product development and product management where she is responsible for enabling the power of pharmacy with scaled solutions and distribution. Previously, she served as the Global Vice President for the Medical Segment where she had responsibility for running several core medical product segments supporting customers in hospitals, retail and industrial settings. Before joining Cardinal Health, she worked in a variety of retail organizations honing her consumer brand management, advertising and store operations experience. She has had the distinct opportunity to work both in a franchisor and franchisee capacity; giving her truly unique perspectives. She began her career in the financial services and insurance industry in a variety of product management roles. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master’s degree from Ashland University.

Chris Kappes is a three-decade executive who has served as President, CMO, CSO for the largest tradeshow/event marketing organizations in North America and is Founder of Exhibitshub, the nation’s first “Airbnb” for tradeshow exhibits. This business venture is presently “on-hold” due to COVID19 and Chris is presently VP, Strategic Partnerships for Live Marketing, the premiere story-telling agency who works at the intersection of “Live” + “Virtual” to engage, educate and excite audiences wherever they meet. Chris is a frequent industry speaker on tradeshow/event trends-best practices and is author of two published trade books, THE NOISE BEHIND BUSINESS, HOW TO MAKE TRADESHOWS WORK, and HOW TO MASTER THE ART OF SELLING AT TRADESHOWS, co-written with sales legend, Tom Hopkins. Chris resides in Green Oaks, IL., a northern suburb of Chicago where he and his wife, Paula, raised their 3 kids, who are now “off the payroll”. ​

While we always love getting together with industry professionals for our annual Impact event, but ultimately, it's important to us to put the health, comfort, and safety of our attendees first. So, this year we decided to make Impact 2020 a virtual event. While we may not be together in person, Impact will still have all of the features you know and love - with some added perks.

We've selected a virtual event platform that will allow for easy and tailored networking with event professionals nationwide. Plus, all registrants will have access to the recorded speaker session/bonus content after the event has ended on a special Impact microsite.
